CstA

CstA
PFAM accession number:PF02554
Interpro abstract (IPR003706):

Escherichia coli induces the synthesis of at least 30 proteins at the onset of carbon starvation, two-thirds of which are positively regulated by the cyclic AMP (cAMP) and cAMP receptor protein (CRP) complex. Proteins in this entry include carbon starvation protein CstA, which is a predicted membrane protein that may be involved in peptide utilisation [ (PUBMED:1848300) ]. This entry represents the N-terminal domain of CstA.

GO process:cellular response to starvation (GO:0009267)
GO component:membrane (GO:0016020)
