FlhD
PFAM accession number:PF05247
Interpro abstract (IPR023559):

This family consists of several bacterial flagellar transcriptional activator (FlhD) proteins. FlhD combines with FlhC to form a regulatory complex in Escherichia coli [ (PUBMED:11287152) ]. This complex has been shown to be a global transcriptional regulator involved in many cellular processes as well as a flagellar transcriptional activator [ (PUBMED:7961507) (PUBMED:11169100) (PUBMED:15941987) ].

The FlhD protein is dimeric. The dimer is tightly coupled, with an intimate contact surface, implying that the dimer does not easily dissociate. The FlhD monomer is predominantly alpha-helical [ (PUBMED:11169099) ].

GO process:bacterial-type flagellum assembly (GO:0044780), positive regulation of transcription, DNA-templated (GO:0045893)
