Nefa_Nip30_N
PFAM accession number:PF10187
Interpro abstract (IPR019331):

This entry represents the N-terminal domain of the mammalian FAM192A protein and the fungal Fyv6 protein.

FAM192A has putatively been called NEFA-interacting nuclear protein NIP30 [(PUBMED:16967103)]. Its function is not clear.

Fyv6 is involved in telomere length regulation and required for survival upon exposure to K1 killer toxin [(PUBMED:12663529), (PUBMED:16552446)]. It promotes fully efficient non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ) by a mechanism activated in postdiauxic/stationary phase [(PUBMED:12399380)].

This is a PFAM domain. For full annotation and more information, please see the PFAM entry Nefa_Nip30_N
