Piezo_RRas_bdg

Piezo_RRas_bdg
PFAM accession number:PF12166
Interpro abstract (IPR031334):

This is an extracellular domain at the C terminus of Piezo, or FAM38 mechanosensitive non-specific cation channel protein. It seems likely that this region of the Piezo proteins may be responsible for R-Ras recruitment because this region is capable of relocalising R-Ras to the ER in eukaryotes [ (PUBMED:20016066) (PUBMED:22343900) ].

This is a PFAM domain. For full annotation and more information, please see the PFAM entry Piezo_RRas_bdg
