Interpro abstract (IPR028972):	This entry represents the C-terminal domain of fungal Spc7. The Ndc80-MIND-Spc7 complex plays a role in kinetochore function during late meiotic prophase and throughout the mitotic cell cycle [ (PUBMED:16079914) ]. The N-terminal region of Spc7 co-localises with the mitotic spindle. Spc7 may associate with spindle microtubules through its C-terminal domain [ (PUBMED:2) (PUBMED:3) ]. However, this domain represents only the conserved region towards the end of the C terminus.
