  This entry contains YhcN and YlaJ, which are predicted lipoproteins that have been detected as spore proteins but not vegetative proteins in Bacillus subtilis [ (PUBMED:9611260) (PUBMED:12480901) ]. Both appear to be expressed under control of the RNA polymerase sigma-G factor. The YlaJ-like members of this family have a low-complexity, strongly acidic, 40-residue C-terminal domain.
