  The correct folding of outer membrane proteins in Gram-negative bacteria is facilitated by the survival protein SurA [ (PUBMED:8626309) ]. This entry represents the domain found at the N terminus of the chaperone SurA. It is a helical domain of unknown function. The C terminus of the SurA protein folds back and forms part of this domain also but is not included in the current alignment.
