TPX2_importin
PFAM accession number:PF12214
Interpro abstract (IPR027330):

This entry represents the central domain found in the eukaryotic targeting protein for Xklp2 (TPX2) protein. TPX2 is a microtubule-associated protein that targets a plus end-directed motor (Xklp2) to the minus ends of microtubules in the mitotic spindle. This domain is close to the C-terminal of TPX2. The protein importin alpha regulates the activity of TPX2 by binding to the nuclear localisation signal in this domain [ (PUBMED:12727873) ].

This is a PFAM domain. For full annotation and more information, please see the PFAM entry TPX2_importin
