CRM1_C

CRM1_C

CRM1 C terminal
SMART ACC:SM001102
Description:CRM1 (also known as Exportin1) mediates the nuclear export of proteins bearing a leucine-rich nuclear export signal (NES). CRM1 forms a complex with the NES containing protein and the small GTPase Ran. This region forms an alpha helical structure formed by six helical hairpin motifs that are structurally similar to the HEAT repeat, but share little sequence similarity to the HEAT repeat (PUBMED:15574331).

KEGG pathways involving proteins which contain this domain

This information is based on the mapping of SMART genomic protein database to KEGG orthologous groups. Percentages are related to the number of proteins containing a CRM1_C domain which could be assigned to a KEGG orthologous group, and not all proteins containing CRM1_C domains. Please note that proteins can be included in multiple pathways, ie. the numbers below will not add to 100%.
