HGTP_anticodon2

HGTP_anticodon2
PFAM accession number:PF12745
Interpro abstract (IPR024435):

This entry represents the histidyl-tRNA synthetase-related (HisRS-related) domain, found largely in Gcn2 protein kinases [ (PUBMED:1739968) ]. In yeast, Gcn2 phosphorylates the alpha subunit of eukaryotic initiation factor-2 (eIF-2) when the cells face the starvation for amino acids. The HisRS-related domain is required for activation of Gcn2 kinase function [ (PUBMED:8798780) (PUBMED:10655230) ].

This is a PFAM domain. For full annotation and more information, please see the PFAM entry HGTP_anticodon2
