Ribosomal_S5_C
PFAM accession number:PF03719
Interpro abstract (IPR005324):

This entry represents the C-terminal of the ribosomal protein S5, which is related to the 30S ribosomal protein S5P from Sulfolobus acidocaldarius ( O05641 ). Ribosomal protein S5 is one of the proteins from the small ribosomal subunit. In Escherichia coli, S5 is known to be important in the assembly and function of the 30S ribosomal subunit. Mutations in S5 have been shown to increase translational error frequencies.

GO process:translation (GO:0006412)
GO component:ribosome (GO:0005840)
GO function:structural constituent of ribosome (GO:0003735)
