HWE_HK

HWE_HK

HWE histidine kinase
SMART ACC:SM000911
Description:The HWE domain is found in a subset of two-component system kinases, belonging to the same superfamily as (PUBMED:14702314). In (PUBMED:14702314), the HWE family was defined by the presence of conserved a H residue and a WXE motifs and was limited to members of the proteobacteria. However, many homologues of this domain are lack the WXE motif. Furthermore, homologues are found in a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as in several archaea.

KEGG pathways involving proteins which contain this domain

This information is based on the mapping of SMART genomic protein database to KEGG orthologous groups. Percentages are related to the number of proteins containing a HWE_HK domain which could be assigned to a KEGG orthologous group, and not all proteins containing HWE_HK domains. Please note that proteins can be included in multiple pathways, ie. the numbers below will not add to 100%.
