TilS_C

TilS_C

TilS substrate C-terminal domain
SMART ACC:SM000977
Description:This domain is found in the tRNA(Ile) lysidine synthetase (TilS) protein.
InterPro ACC:IPR012796
InterPro abstract:

This entry represents the C-terminal domain of lysidine-tRNA(Ile) synthetase (TilS), which ligates lysine onto the cytidine present at position 34 of the AUA codon-specific tRNA(Ile) that contains the anticodon CAU, in an ATP-dependent manner. Cytidine is converted to lysidine, thus changing the amino acid specificity of the tRNA from methionine to isoleucine. The N-terminal region contains the … expand

KEGG pathways involving proteins which contain this domain

This information is based on the mapping of SMART genomic protein database to KEGG orthologous groups. Percentages are related to the number of proteins containing a TilS_C domain which could be assigned to a KEGG orthologous group, and not all proteins containing TilS_C domains. Please note that proteins can be included in multiple pathways, ie. the numbers below will not add to 100%.
