Gryzun is distantly related to, but distinct from, the Trs130 subunit of the TRAPP complex but is absent from S. cerevisiae. RNAi of human Gryzun ( Q7Z392 ) blocks Golgi exit. Thus the family is likely to be involved with trafficking of proteins through membranes, perhaps as part of the TRAPP complex [ (PUBMED:19942856) ].
