MIIP
PFAM accession number:PF15734
Interpro abstract (IPR031466):

Migration and invasion-inhibitory protein (MIIP or IIp45) binds to insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2 (IGFBP-2) and inhibits the invasion of glioma cells [ (PUBMED:14617774) ]. MIIP attenuates mitotic transition, thereby inhibiting glioma progression [ (PUBMED:20418911) ]. It not only modulates IGFBP-2, but also inhibits cell migration by binding to and inhibiting HDAC6, a class 2 histone deacetylase that deacetylates alpha-tubulin [ (PUBMED:20008322) ].

GO process:negative regulation of cell migration (GO:0030336), negative regulation of G2/M transition of mitotic cell cycle (GO:0010972)
